Qatar International Art Festival 2025
The Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) is Qatar's largest annual international art festival, held in Doha at the Katara Cultural Village. QIAF provides a global platform for artists, galleries, and thinkers to showcase and sell their work, network with professionals, participate in workshops and performances, and connect with cultures from over 70 countries. The festival promotes art as a universal language, bringing together creative minds from around the world to share diverse artistic expressions and foster innovation in the global cultural dialogue.
Solo exhibition 'Awakening'
Awakening — Solo Exhibition in the art village of Brielle, The Netherlands
In the summer of 2025, Carlotta Adriaansz presented a solo exhibition of her Awakening series at Galerie Nobelstraat 8 in Brielle. On view from July through 23 August, the exhibition brought together a significant selection of works exploring transformation, identity and emotional resilience.
In Awakening, realistic portraiture merges with expressive abstraction, layered surfaces and fragments of colour. Rather than depicting individuals in a conventional sense, the paintings create psychological spaces in which moments of inner change become visible. The series reflects the gradual movement from endurance towards renewed strength: a process that is neither linear nor complete, but marked by vulnerability, resistance and the rediscovery of possibility.
Presented together in Brielle, the works revealed the visual and emotional dialogue running throughout the series. The solo exhibition offered visitors an immersive encounter with the central themes of Adriaansz’s practice and an opportunity to experience the scale, materiality and layered presence of the paintings in person.
Exhibition 'Whispers of Wonder', Marais, Paris
Group Exhibition in Le Marais, Paris
In November 2024, Carlotta Adriaansz presented I Feel Like Fire in the Rain from the Awakening series in a group exhibition in Le Marais, Paris. Set within one of the city’s most vibrant cultural districts, the exhibition brought together emerging and established artists in a diverse presentation of contemporary art.
