As a multidisciplinary artist with a deep foundation in both architecture and fine arts Carlotta Adriaansz has honed her craft through years of hands-on artistic practice. Her creative journey began under the mentorship of Franco Soro, where she explored composition, life drawing, and free expression at the age of 14. Her academic pursuits took her to the University of Illinois at Chicago, culminating in a Bachelor’s in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Technology, followed by a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Technical University of Delft.
Transitioning fully to the visual arts, she established her own studio in 2021, allowing her to explore her passion for painting and mixed media. Specializing in oil and acrylic techniques, she has been mentored by established artists such as Frans Polman and Lucas Bononi.
Her work, characterized by expressive realism, earned recognition as a finalist in the 2024 Expressions of Humanity International Exhibition and Competition for the piece ‘Rise’.
She continues to evolve as an artist, combining an affinity for the abstract with a refined focus on academic expressionism, aiming to communicate profound human experiences through form, color, and texture. Her art is a balance between structural precision and emotional depth, shaped by years of study, practice, and an enduring commitment to artistic growth.
